Vitamins A, B, C, D... But what are the benefits of each for our skin?
The word "Vita-amine", amine necessary for life, is a generic name which refers to 6 forms of vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K. But if each one provides an answer to the good functioning of the skin, all remains a question of balance and dosage because both the lack and the excess generate dysfunctions.
A different nature
First, know that there are 2 types of vitamins: oil soluble vitamins called fat soluble and water soluble vitamins called water soluble. The former, such as vitamins A, D, E and K, are stored by the body. So you won't have to worry about their daily intake. On the other hand, you should ensure the daily intake of vitamins B and C since the body starts almost every day from 0.
Structural vitamins
Vitamins D and K have no direct impact on skin function. Vitamin D, synthesized by the body under the effect of the sun, is above all essential for the life of our bones, while vitamin K is mainly involved in blood clotting.
Vitamin B is the basis of cellular metabolism and is essential for its proper functioning (energy, respiration...). You will often hear about her in the plural because it is a complex made up of 8 compounds (B1, B2...) coexisting most of the time together.
Vitamins A and C against UV
Vitamins A, C and E are the key vitamins against aging in the skin, each with a well-defined field of action.
Vitamin A fights against sun damage and allows different skin tissues to maintain their firmness, while Vitamin C fights the oxidation and aging of our cells and provides them with the necessary tone.
Vitamin E to detoxify
Vitamin E known as Tocopherol is the best active ingredient in the fight against the aging of the membranes of our cells. In addition, it detoxifies the skin, facilitates skin microcirculation, protects against UVB rays and soothes inflammation. This multiplicity of actions has earned it the prize for vitamins against aging of the skin. To be used and abused almost without limit because even in large quantities it presents only low toxicity compared to other fat-soluble vitamins.
Rather than recommending a list, which you will never remember..., of foods or products rich in vitamins, we preferred to emphasize their fragility! They are, in fact, quickly degraded once exposed to oxygen or UV rays and hardly resist heat, freezing and refining, etc... This is why we have favored for our care, vacuum manufacturing and vacuum packaging or in brown bottles. As for your plates, eat everything and especially fresh seasonal ingredients, you will always be well served!
